comments for Demigod
sort: go backClassic Louigi. Started the game, went out to make lunch, still on the idle phase.
SPECIAL: If this comment will be 5 likes, developer will do version 0.2. This version will be cool and you can progress fast! Prove: am talked with dev in discord and he agree with me. And this version will be on galaxy, reddit etc.
Really tried to get into this game, but the Galaxy reset felt like a slap in the face. Rate is doubled but so is target, so after several hours of grinding you're essentially rewound back to the start without unlocking a new feature or bonus.
developer response: Try the new version. Completely reworked, should be lots of fun now
Galaxy reset now improves time by slightly lessening target increase per civ compared to rate per civ. This was not the case at the time of my last comment (it wasn't until I refreshed the page that the target corrected itself; before that it increased by 2 per civ with a completed galaxy). I don't mind a grind, I just want to feel progress being made over time. Good to see the game improving.
Cool game, but grindy fr
Okay, version change since I last reloaded. Lost all progress.
New progress system seems faster at the start but is an almost straight downgrade past a couple of solar systems, even needing the resolve button as a fix.
Guess I'll check back in a couple of days.
developer response: I just uploaded an upgrade which adds a "Wormhole". It's basically an undo button to prevent softlocking. Progress should be retained. (in fact, maybe you've got your old progress retained as well if you go to the old version here: https://louigiverona.com/demigod/)
To everyone in the comments: Yes, your save got wiped! The game had a major re-balance, so existing progress was wiped. The game is much faster now, so it shouldn't take too long to get back to where you were.
If you want to continue playing on the old version, you can do so at https://louigiverona.com/demigod/
This was actually pretty fun for a fairly idle game. I seem to have reached the point where it is just programmatically over, as i get a "Maximum call stack size exceeded" error.
But that is probably on me and I'll still happily replay when there is an update.
i think there needs to be a different way to increase multipliers at the top. cuz if it is low than you are bassicaly unable to progress and have to reset data
Although the game is enjoyable, there really isn't all too much to do in it. I feel if galaxies had lower boosts in terms of multiplier but gave some sort of skill point, things would be more interesting later on.
There's definitely something to be said about the elegance brought on by the simplicity, though.

developer response: I just submitted the new game Demigod Infinity which ensures nothing breaks.
It seems like the game reset progress, presumably for a rebalance. If you want to continue playing the previous version, it looks like it's still up at https://louigiverona.com/demigod/
developer response: Exactly. But this version has a lot of content added, many various upgrades and a much sensible setup in general.
Don't know if it's a problem on my end, but after this update the only button that appears is Resume, and clicking it does nothing. The Settings, Shortcuts and Save Game at the bottom don't do anything either.
Galaxy reset DOES give a boost, though. Rate is doubled, and so is the target, but now target only increases by 1.9 per additional civilization (instead of scaling by the expected 2 per). Every 2 planets you're effectively an entire civ ahead, target scaling wise. Not that that isn't grindy, this is still a very grindy game, but it's not actually starting from square one with no bonus.
As a better comparison, when you first reach your third planet, the target is 130 and your rate is 1.69/s. Approximately 76.92 seconds required without use of the 2x button. When you reach the third planet with a galaxy, the target is 247 with a rate of 3.38/s. That's approximately 73.08 seconds, again without 2x button intervention. Hence, galaxy DOES give an actually tangible boost, since at this point you're almost 4 seconds quicker, or ~1.0525x quicker.
Again, it's fine to say "that's too grindy for me, thus I don't like the game", but I want to correct the comments stating it does LITERALLY nothing.
Fun fact: Planet gives 10%, not 1% Refresh for prove
guys progression later 2nd galaxy so good
pls help, i losed resolve button and i have 9/15 Qa points and i not have left boosters
So Galaxy basically just sets you back to square one with no bonus? Like, the numbers are bigger but the time is the exact same. Huge F on that. 0/10. Massive waste of time.
Sad fact: Solar Systems gives 1.5x, not 2x.
Folks, thank you for playing the game. This is version 0.1. I do like the aesthetics of the game, I think it has potential, so I'm going to continue working on it with the goal of posting an update next week or so. And again, thank you for playing and commenting!
developer response: p.s.: the current game is already 0.3
