comments for Why did you invade Mars?
sort: go backHonestly, the special offers I've encountered kind of suck.
A x3 or x7 boost for manual damage? This raises the restart goal by 5%. If I take the doubling 4 times I get a x16 boost for manual damage and it raises the restart goal by less than 5%, and it only takes a bit of extra time (bonus points for extra undead). Why would I ever take a gamble that's not worth it even if I were to win?
Troops are also kind of trash, basically requiring you to hunt specifically for the bigger upgrades. It's better to just take a 1% RG increase for a reroll than accept a mere doubling of damage when there's a x5 in the same pool.
As with most games made by this developer I wonder what his vision is for what he makes. Rarely can I imagine the reasoning.
developer response: I'm just having fun and experimenting.
i like it when it said it's mars invadin' time and i proceeded to invade mars all over the place
similar progression to demigod pretty good
i beat it? (there's nothing to do now, i have all 3 reincarnation artefacts)
Fun game. I think just doing 2x for X is the best strategy, but I kept upgrading my soldiers.
i have TRULY broken the game, GG!
SAVE:
After going through all reincarnations, playing the game in various ways (manual power, troops, both), I have to say that I like using the manual power more than the troops. They seem to be very weak even with the upgrades.
developer response: Yep, that's true. The benefit of troopers is more passive gameplay.
Finished the game! Short and sweet. Loved the monster design! For optimal play, always choose x2 and trees
my x key is in pain
please continue updating this
developer response: Thank you for this! I def might try to work more with balance, but I also had ideas around using trees for something else, like for building houses.
Might be interesting if the game can branch out into something else. Say, this could be a new reincarnation upgrade, which gives you the ability to terraform Mars.
fun lil gizmo
If I put on Superman by Goldfinger in the background and hold X, it makes a horrible noise. I'm on Firefox on Mac. Why can't I listen to my ska (which is not dead)?
Also, every single game you make is awesome.
I think I broke the game.

The first 42 letters of the last guy's save matches with mine
What a question.
also how many do you have?
louigi verona's games:
- satisfying sounds
- cool progression
- well, good
developer response: Thank you for the kind words! <3
Few things I'd like to nitpick.
1. The growth rate of RG cost is not accurate. I mean it is what it says... plus 100%. This makes the goal cose way too expensive.
2. Trees do almost nothing in the late game. You can see why in the next thing.
3. The "Attack a Wave" upgrade cost grows way too slow. In the midgame forward, all you have to do is attack a wave with the horde of undead you have. And the "Bare Bones" gift makes this even worse.
4. It's much easier to spam 2x reset than to get a special offer.
5. I was confused about what to do at the beginning because the description was too vague. I eventually figured out that you have to press the X key. Not button, key.
6. The story is very weird. You go to Mars (for some unknown reason) just to fight aliens. First of all, why not build a civilization? You spent so much time (not)! Second, why do the aliens just stop. And why are there just one of each alien?
That's all I have to say.
developer response: I was actually thinking of branching out into a building aspect as well. Using trees to build houses and so on. I could still do it in the future! It turned into a nifty little game.
But why DID you invade Mars???
