Window Size in settings has a grayed out box and only says "30 FPS".

developer response: Good spot! It is just a visual bug, we removed the ability to change window type but accidentally left the skeleton data

Pretty fun game overall. Though it feels like the game doesn't want me to purchase some upgrades because I have to click them multiple times or take my cursor off of them and click on the node again. keeping in mind I have enough money for that upgrade though. I just think fish have the potential to upgrade too fast because like 30 minutes into this game and I am almost done with it already, so if you could slow down rarity increase I feel it would improve the experience. other than all that I think its pretty fun and when you release it I know its going to have more fish and fishing spots so I don't need to say that.

developer response: Thank you for playing and Im glad you enjoyed it, I see your point about progression. There are moments where the game maybe progresses a bit too fast. We had an issue where before the mid game was way too slow so we tweaked some numbers but I guess we might of over tweaked them :D. We will investigate the UI/UX issue with the nodes, it does sound like a bug.
Thanks again for the feedback!

This might be an unusual suggestion, but I kind of accidentally removed any actual gameplay for myself by buying the passive income and then forgetting about the game till the next day. A progressive "max money" cap, increased via unlocking ponds or "fishing equipment" may be useful to retain a sense of progression even when afk-farming money.

Decent game. There's no way to access the settings during gameplay though.

The graphical polish is pretty great and after I completed it I went back and gilded the rest of the fish. I feel as though the pacing throughout the demo was pretty steady and reasonable (can be easily expedited with an autoclicker but not too much). Good demo.

developer response: We added a feature that lets you hold the mouse for people who don't want to click but forgot to communicate it to the player, it should be in the next update. Agreed about the auto clicker but if people want to use it its up to them we don't really mind :) Thank you for playing and giving feedback!

I liked it.
To those experiencing extreme lag, please check your browser settings, there should be one along the lines of "Use hardware acceleration when available" (it may also be called called graphics acceleration). If the option is off, this game lags extremely badly, but if it is on, it should run nice and smooth. Make sure to relaunch your browser when toggling said option to make sure it enabled properly.

honestly pretty fun concept, but the skill tree is unfathomably boring and gives no insentive to actually progress, plus the game lags REALLY hard sometimes making it physically impossible to get a perfect catch

it's a pretty fun and chill game. The base gameplay loop is simple but reels you in with the incremental upgrades. Maybe it's just me being impatient though, but after the first 2 zones, it feels like that's all there is to the game. Didn't experience any lag when playing on desktop btw.

fun game, but a problem is when the game lags it will be very hard to catch a fish

very good concept, the only downside is that it lags atrociously bad

please, i implore your dev. optimise the game. its so dam laggy that perfect catches are luck based given the game will sometimes delay my clicks by up to "you spam clicked but fuck you you missed"

developer response: I'm sorry you are experiencing performance issues, the game runs smooth on my end and I even tried it on my phone and there was no lag. Was it just really low frame rate in general or there were spikes?

The "perfect cast" upgrade has the wrong description, it has the one for "circle hooks".

developer response: Good spot! Will get that fixed, thank you for the bug report <3

I find this very interesting with the upgrade tree being more influenced by your progress rather than choosing your progress with the tree. The separation of money potential from the tree makes even marginal upgrades feel better because you aren't being stalled for money most of the time. My main suggestion is that you need the ability to artificially cap the level of a fish, if someone isn't paying attention it seems that they would be able to effectively softlock themselves by leveling their fish to the point of being unable to click enough to catch them if they aren't upgrading click power.

developer response: I feel like soft-locking out for the player would be very unlikely and quite hard, but it could be possible. The fish only level up when you catch them which would also level up the pond, so you would start to earn passive income. It could slow down the game a lot but should not be a full on soft lock. Thank you for suggestion tho, we might put in a check if the player misses like 5 fish in row we start giving them lower tier fish.

Echoing previous commenters: Definitely needs an optimization pass. Laggy on itch.io and nearly unplayable on galaxy.click in Firefox. Unresponsive upgrade tree and catch interfaces in particular. I'll also add that the game feels quite empty from the get-go: The ponds are pretty enough, but picking different parts of the pond to cast into—shorelines, deep central water, weedy and reedy water—seems irrelevant even after exploring the upgrade tree a bit. A single button to click to cast would apparently be just as good and likely more performant. The whole game just seems to need more of everything; fifteen minutes of stuttery playtime left me feeling I'd fundamentally seen everything interesting.

I do not experience the lag that people describe. However, I do experience the sometimes unresponsive upgrade tree. Still, a fun short demo. It'd be nice if it allowed pressing space or enter or s/t instead of clicking, just to make things easier on the hands.

developer response: Will put in "spacebar" for clicking for sure, Great idea! The unresponsive skill tree is a problem we need to fix, but yh Im pretty stumped about peoples lag I don't understand whats causing it.

First nodelike in a long time I've seen be actually unique in any way. the pacing is fair, I would nerf the auto clicking a tiny bit as once you get just a few upgrades into it it far outpaces regular clicking for a little bit. The spritework is spectacular, despite (at least one song) being stock music, it all fits really well! Enough Gushing though, 9/10, will be buying once the full game releases!

developer response: Thank you so much for kind words <3 We definitely want to tweak some of the values and look into balancing it a bit more. Thank you for playing I'm glad you enjoyed it!

i play on mobile and cant pan the skill tree. was fun until there were inaccessible upgrades. i enjoyed the chill-until-you're-reeling fishing simulation :)

developer response: I am actually very surprised it runs on mobile, the game was made for PC and we have done no development for mobile. Could look into adding support for mobile swiping, should not be too bad.
