You should highlight the lack of save early on, default nowadays is autosave so I didn't even think about it
Please enable saving!
Nice game, definitely need a BIT more tutorial at the beginning, but it wasn't too bad to figure out. Completed it in approximately an hour. Nice upgrade path, not sure what you could do for "more" game, since by the end your definitely strong. Nice job!
no save... when did that become acceptable?
very excellent. wishlisted
very good game
That was a very cute game <3
Great game, really enjoyed it. Reminded me of Core Keeper in a good way. Game's premise is simple yet effective. I'm not sure what more could be added to it, but I could see the diamond tier ultimate upgrades being spaced out into another layer or two. Additional collectible variety and maybe the addition of threats like enemies could be interesting. If you don't have any plans to use the bottom of the map, maybe consider putting a steam achievement for reaching a "bottom" or filling it with indestructible blocks.
A few very minor nitpicks. I personally feel you spend a bit too much time on the gold layer. I did maybe ~8-10 runs on it, while I took maybe ~6 on the iron layer. On the contrary, I spent only about 3-4 runs on ruby and 2-3 runs on diamond/emerald. I think feeling powerful towards the end of the game is good, but some of the gold/stone upgrades could be pushed into ruby and some of ruby into diamond. Furthermore, I think chest ore loot should be given based on highest layer. Some of the first runs I'd get a chest and get a bunch of ore from the previous tier which I've maxed out already. Furthermore, you should give players the option to continue playing after beating the game.
I only really noticed this bug in the bottom layer, but moving at high speeds causes the lighting to not affect the terrain properly (can replicate this as soon as you max out copper). Moving at very high speed in the bottom layer (~endgame) appears to cause the terrain generation to generate too slowly to keep up.
