comments for Dream incremental
sort: go backLiking the game so far, but when you enter nightmare, the nightmare tab should stay accessible on the first world so you can see what it gives you. I happened to click the upgrade before reading through everything the first nightmare gives me, so now I kind of just have to have faith that it's easier this time without any numbers to explain what is easier and by how much.
There's the bones of a good game in here, but there's an awful lot of issues.
First, the progression needs some rebalancing. Getting through your first nightmare and then having to do a second one with twice as many Rests per Lucid Dream is annoying to say the least.
Second, there's WAY too much spam-clicking. You need to add AT LEAST one of the following: (a) let the player hold the mouse button down on a buyable upgrade to keep buying it until they let go of the button or can't afford it anymore, (b) a buy-max button for each upgrade, or (c) a Max All button on each page with buyable upgrades.
Third, what's going on with the nightmare trial once you get #24? Is that the end of the game for now? That's fine, but you really should say so, so that people don't get confused (like I am).
Like I said, I think you've got a good game here underneath all the issues, but you need to focus a bit more on details and improving the user experience or nobody's ever going to stick with it long enough to discover the strong parts of the game.

Update: Need. NEED. To have the game notice that you've reached the threshold to do a rest so you don't have to dreamify over and over because it auto-spends on upgrades.
It seems like once you enter the Nightmare Trials, it's just 3 upgrades and no way to get back out of it. Is this the intended way for it to go?
Too repetitive. Reached Lucidify desperately hoping it would give Dream generation, it did not. Unfortunately shelved.
what even is the point of halving the rest count after the first nightmare?
developer response: for making it more difficult.
This is a good start, but it needs some UI improvements. There are too many tabs with too little information on each.
damn, nightmare just makes the lack of automation for some stuff just a lot more tedious
developer response: that's why its called nightmare
took me a whole day to have a thought. i feel personally attacked...10/10
This is a lot of fun, it keeps moving at a good pace and I appreciate the QOL updates you've made already. One thing I would hugely appreciate is merging the locations of reset buttons and upgrades, so that I don't have to go back and forth between the Dream Reset and Dream Upgrades tabs, for example. There's plenty of room for both onscreen without scrolling. It might also be nice if the "1% of dreams per second" increased with Rests to a max of 10%, so that manually resetting isn't the most efficient option at 30 Rests.
Fun for a while, just reached and starting to feel a little frustrated. Can you please add displays for ALL currencies at the top of the UI? It's a surprisingly big point of annoyance.
developer response: if i added on top all currencies, the text on top of gui would be too large
Any chance I get get a save at nightmare 1 ascension 3? lost all my progress after an update
is there anyhing after rebirth in the upgrade tree? love the game but i am a little lost
Desperately needs hotkeys for reset layers, it takes not too long in the scheme of this game to reach a point where especially when that you can instantly reach a certain upgrade layer. Maybe you intended some passive generation but forgot? But there are portions of the game where your main limiting factor is how quickly you can flick the mouse between different screens and press the button.
Some of the colors make it hard to read the white text. I suggest you add a border around the text in black or something dark so it pops out more, or use darker colors on the buttons. The bright green for Think makes it really hard for me to read without zooming in.
developer response: on the next update, i'm going to change the colors, to make it more readable.
lost all progress in update :( I had just gotten 2 nightmares
Please add a max buy option or a hold to buy multiple. My carpal tunnel will thank you when I have to buy 70+ of lucid dream upgrades every infinity
so far so good, I thought I was already at endgame because .
Alright, definitely lost my save for the second time. Even made sure to actually click save after completing that first nightmare milestone again, before going to do other stuff.
I'll just stop trying I guess. This is not worth a third attempt.
Like, sure, there's the export and import buttons... but if there's also a save button I do actually expect the saving to work.

developer response: then it should be a bug, my save system is fine.

Without this, the game is jarring as there is an auto buy dream upgrades, but nothing to generate that currency.
