It could probably be done with a bunch of refactoring on the backend, but I'm not really up for it right now (especially having to handle accessibility settings). As it stands, I'm content with how unobtrusive profile pictures are atm

There should be more profile customizations (kinda like how steam does it)
it also needs working on the storage as for a lot of websites using that, it has limits on how much mb can a gif be to be used. if a large gif is used a lot, then it can slow the page a bit and it can also be considered to be used for high active users or for people who have specific roles. overall while it comes with limitations, it can be a good idea to add :)
