I liked this, kept me entertained all the way through, and even through all the comlplecity I never got a sense of "A bunch of bars are filling but I have no idea of what's happening"

How do you import saves?

developer response: You cannot import on HTML. It's an engine limitation. There may be a workaround via Javascript, but I ain't about to get into that nightmare. The HTML version will always be the inferior version, unfortunately, because it's the HTML version. It has worse performance, worse cooperation with the engine, and random other ticks that make it worse. I don't think it does anything better. The only reason it exists is because it is so much more quick & convenient for newbies to try out the game.

Suggestion: make it so that the resolution is always correct by multiplying the width and height of the canvas by window.devicePixelRatio so that the resolution is good. Other than that, looks pretty good!

So, why can't you just copy the save?

developer response: It's a limitation of the engine. The game has its own clipboard which is separate from the operating system clipboard. Therefore exporting a save must be printed to console!

A fun, but ultimately pretty short experience! Well worth it and there's a lot of really great QoL features I wish more games would include, specifically the fact you can submit tasks (and I think some other things) when they're within 5-10% ish of their target. Really friendly way to avoid rounding errors (though I posit that all numbers in idle games should be floored when displayed)

I lost my save after reloading the page; why?

developer response: It's saved via IndexedDB, which is somewhat related to cookies. If you're running Safari, that has the most trouble with saves. Besides that, don't clear your cookies

I keep coming back to this one, grah I hope we get 3.0.0 by next year at least, I wanna see more resources it's such a fun resource game.

I liked the old version more. This new version sets the default zoom to something tiny (although yes this can be changed to a certain point), reset my maligancy progress, and i cant find a way to wipe my save or even export. Please dev, fix this!

developer response: You can export your save to the console from the Save Management window (shortcut: L). Importing for desktop versions is coming in the next update. The default zoom is not tiny, it's 1x zoom. If you have a high res monitor, that will be tiny. The next update will detect a higher res and default the zoom to 1.5x. And I'm not sure what "reset my malignancy progress" means!

developer response: You're right. I had to submit a new link for the new version. It's finally right!

Wow that was a fast response! Specifically, yeah, I'm using a high-DPI screen; i feel like a multiplier by devicePixelRatio on the default scaling would be nice (idk how to do this in your game engine tho). Basically, when the new update rolled out, a buncha people reported their progress being lost (me being one of them). I suppose for now I can just use Save Management to export a fresh save in a private window for now, although I feel like a wipe save button would still be nice. The game is still great btw, it's just that the new version was kinda small and took me for a spin (I thought I clicked on the wrong game twice haha). :)
