I just unlocked mass dilation and have a bug where I often enter a challenge and it then exits on its own without claiming the completions, then reentering and allowing me to do it normally.

Ahhh. NaN at 9 supernovas. Cloud saves laughing at me. Always forget about them and then NaN.

why is progress after AC3 (Atom Challenge 3) so slow

Darkness, especially Dark Runs are unbearably slow. The glyph upgrade has 100 levels, but you can't get more than 6/7 levels of it when you really need it and you literally can't do anything else rather than just waiting.
I have a guess soon after you can get like 10-20 levels immediately, but that's really bad balancing. But eh... let's see.
