I would really like an option to automatically smelt up to a limit, like I input smelt up to 500 bronze and if I have 500 or more bronze stockpiled it stops smelting.
Also, the ability to pin an upgrade option so it is always visible no matter what drill you are on would be very helpful for keeping track of the next goal when you need to get resources from a different drill.
I love the game so far though!

It's possible for the stone breaker to not give a gem. That's not a bug

Stone Breaker works for me? There's a cautionary note on the thing that percentages for each gem are independent, so it's possible for a given Stone Breaker run to produce no gems. Keep trying, you'll get some eventually.

The one feature I think would be really useful is if you could have an option with the smeltery to just make as many as possible, obviously only up to the limit you have unlocked. It becomes very tedious to constantly have to set the limits low after each mana reset, only to put them back up as you go. Really a "smelt all available, up to limit" mechanic would just be a tremendous QOL improvement without affecting the idea and balance of the smeltery having un-lockable limits. Really enjoying this and looking forward to the next update!

The game is good, but something needs to be done about %chance to get rarer ores. There needs to be an upgrade or some mechanic that lets you increase the chance of getting specific rarer ores. As it stands right now, all we are able to increase is the amount of ores that drop, and even those upgrades feel like they scale way slower than the # of ores needed to get a new power/speed upgrade. It just feels like it takes longer and longer to get enough ores to drop per upgrade, and if everything stays the way it is right now, it'll just get to the point where it will take hours to get a new upgrade.

Progression is feeling great so far! Did you use Hydra for the background animation? I feel like that noise pattern is familiar...

developer response: The background is a modified shader taken from Shadertoy, you can see the original here: https://www.shadertoy.com/view/ldfczS

Doesn't feel like non-selected drills work. Are they supposed to not work in the background? I feel like it'd be nice if they worked without being selected, even if it's at reduced power.

Loving this! Will offline progress be added? Also as a suggestion: When you hover over an ore on the right hand sidebar, could it show which drills can get that ore, and what percentage it is? Would help more quickly determine the best drill to be on at any given time. Thanks for the great game!

If you "Hold to speed up drill" and drag your mouse off of the window, the button stays pressed until you press it again. I even switched tabs and it stayed on.

Oh, feature suggestion: when you click on a resource have the best relevant drill/breaker/other become active.
So for bronze/brass/copper the basic drill would become active, for iron/steel the power drill.

Finally completed this update. Definitely enjoyed it and it was a lot longer than the last one though the mana system added a lot more depth and replay-ability to the gameplay.
Only thing I want to note is that in my experience of grinding mana, it was best to simply best to max or get close to max out the basic drill before its heat drill / abyssal drill upgrades and simply ignore any further upgrades out of the sake of time. This would usually net me 7-9 mana in a reasonable amount of time. I feel like this would make it difficult to incentivize people to go past heat drill and unlock the later tier upgrades for mana grinding, making the game very monotonous in the end when the upgrade caps are increased. Maybe unlocking abyssal drill would give a multiplier to mana gain (since it costs mana) and perhaps a similar thing could be done for the Star drill as well. I understand that you would gain access to higher tier furnace caps in later runs, though that doesn't make much difference when most of the smelting needed is only a few smelts.

I think a dropdown for drill upgrades with the "pin" checkbox next to it would be a good idea so you don't have to switch drills at all to see their upgrades.

Possible to enable keyboard button to push speed up button? My mouse finger is tired, lol

Great game! Two thoughts/suggestions which I think would be nice for QOL:
- Clarification about the probability of getting 1-X ore with upgraded drills. Is it evenly distributed? If so, any kind of indication to the player of this would be nice. If not, some kind of breakdown (even rough) for the player would be nice.
- Similarly, expected item/min for each item a drill can produce, taking into account probability of that item being mined, drill power upgrades, and drill speed upgrades. It's a little unclear to the player when there are multiple drills offering overlapping production which drill to choose when trying to optimize for a particular output.

Is unavailablium just a placeholder to stop getting higher tiers? It is a nice game otherwise, I reached the end in a bit more than an hour
