sort: go backLove to see new Demonin games, eagerly awaiting the next update!
Setting the drillSpeedupOff function to an empty function (eg drillSpeedupOff = (() => {})
) will make the button stay clicked when clicked until refresh.
@Astralika, then don't run your windows square? I recommend downloading what's called a tiling window manager. Assuming you're running Windows, check out GlazeWM
. If you're running Linux, try out i3
. If you're running MacOS, I don't use Mac but I've heard good things about yabai
.
Loving the update so far, thanks! Any reason the smelters couldn't be set to auto-smelt even when the resources aren't available (like the stone breaker)? Appreciate it!
Would be really nice if we had an option to disable the animated background to save CPU/GPU. I play my idle games on an ancient laptop and sadly this game causes significant lag...
@Zuleahbh, delete the Canvas element. Right click on the background, click inspect (on other browsers it may be called something different, for instance, Vivaldi has it under Developer Tools), right click on the canvas in the Elements tab, then click delete element. This won't save, so remember to delete it again the next time you open the game.
Using the "over upgrade respec" described below you can get more then 25 mana sitting around but when you mana reset in the future it deletes any above 25
In the same vein as hollikill, being able to pin an upgrade to always see it is nice, and all ores/gems needed for that upgrade to be sent to the top of the ore list would be great too, now that it doesn't fit the screen entirely and I no longer see my gems
update is when
Platinum's a bottleneck for me right now. It would be nice to be able to select an ore to focus on rather than pray to the RNG gods that you get platinum.
developer response: I made a mistake with platinum odds earlier and was worried it might be too rare, so I've increased it to 2%, let me know if that's a better pace.
@Neffdigity change the limit to the auto-smelting. after each smelt, the auto-smelting will disable itself if the ore that is being smelted surpasses limit, so if the limit is 0, after each smelt it gets disabled
Just as a headsup at least in the current version (v0.3.1) the resource per minute calculations have an error with how they are made. I noticed this because I was trying to keep running the stone breaker at 1000 stone/30 seconds with a power 7, speed 7 basic drill. While holding down the speed boost it claims a yield of 3023 stone/min which even with the rng should after a bit average out to be more than enough to keep the stone breaker running but, I found even after ~ 10 minutes I was still not getting enough stone rarely if ever getting enough to use my stone breaker again by the time it is finished. So I decided to check the numbers and when unboosted it claims a yield of 1209 stone/min. As long as the chance of receiving resources is evenly distributed along your range (which seems to be the case from what I can tell) the average yield per proc with a 1-64 range should be 32.5 and with a speed of 1.6s it should roll ~46.2 times a minute. simply multiplying the average yield by procs per minute gives an expected total resources of ~1500 which should have a average stone yield of ~750 per minute rather than the displayed 1200. Seeing as it is about 62% of the displayed yield I might be missing some hidden mechanic or how something is done that I just missed but from my experience the much lower estimates I made for myself seem to represent my actual yields much closer. (with this estimate gives the boosted stone yield of ~1890/min explaining why even after a long time it couldn't sustain a 2000/min stone cost)
(deleted and reposted because there was a typo in my last message could of caused some confusion)
developer response: You were right, the ore/min rates were around double what they should have been. I've done a quick fix, they should be correct now
and actually again the original messages typo was thinking I had a proc rate of 1.3s rather than 1.6 but now going through I see I made that mistake because all of my numbers used that rate which makes the differential even worse seeing as I should actually have a yield closer to ~609 per minute close to half of the displayed number
Making it to mana again after getting it once already caused a minor glitch. The basic drill normal tells you a range of how many ores you can get just like all other drills do. But after getting back to mana for the second time, the percent changed from like 3-70is to 3-%. It changed the second number to a percent symbol without a number attached to it.
would be nice to have an option for disabling background animation. eats a lot of my potato-laptop gpu
Andesite seems to be bugged right now(v0.4.0). At least for me after putting in 1 mana and resetting twice stone breaking still takes 30 seconds.
Mana resets get funky with the pin upgrades button (it stays "enabled" but doesn't track anything so you need to click it twice to get it to work)
Also I have 19/15 slate right now?
My stone breaking time says 17s, I haven't upgraded it at all
Great game tho
developer response: This should also hopefully be fixed
You can reset for mana without unlocking the heat drill at 36 stone by just clicking the "unlock heat drill to reset" button
Additionally you can go over the yellow limits by clicking +1 and reset them to normal limit by clicking max as long as you have 1 mana, allowing you to overupgrade and respec as needed, I'll eventually test the 25 mana limit when I get to that point
Again love the game
developer response: Should hopefully be fixed now, feel free to refresh and test it again, sorry I missed this!
Fantastic QOL update! The division and organizing of ores is very nice!
