sort: go backTo be honest, earlygame feels like IMR but with extra steps and a reskinned UI. I understand that it's a design choice, but it was almost unbearable without player.devSpeed
set to 10, and resetting honestly made me feel miserable when I realized that all my tetrs vanished!
(However, the music is really good! What software does !Sweet use?)
So, here are my suggestions:
- please add a "button roundness" option (some people like squarey buttons, but personally i am a round-corner person and i think that would allows some cool customization)
- I kind of understand the one-tab only mode, but I feel like it would be better if there was almost a "mini tree" at the top, so above the return button there would be a mini form of the tree with small buttons, which would make navigating easier.
- maybe just make earlygame faster? i see a lot of features in the changelog but i just can't get to them since the earlygame is so grindy, which is a huge shame
- more themes! i like themes; maybe one for every new feature you unlock?
- pleeeeeeaaaaaasssseeeeee make ranks (or even tiers) not reset stuff earlier, like i mean before-you-get-your-fourth-prestige-point early (i don't know when or if it unlocks)
- maybe like, hide the changelog with a show button in the actual game or something? i feel like it's a little silly to have all those spoiler tags in your update section and then not have anything hiding the changelog in settings (or remove them entirely, since tbh all those features just made me more interested)
i'm sure this game has many features, but i feel like so many of them are unlocked by the near-brutal timewall that i'll never be able to see them.
developer response: alright! ill take notes, but not sure how much faster you want the game to be
I liked playing it for a day or two, but the Check Back portion is horrible. Right now all I can do is repeatedly click the same buttons for hours until I level up enough to complete the next challenge. Navigation is also a complete mess, a sidebar with quick access to different portions would be a lot more effective than the dozens of different tabs and buttons that all go to different places.
What a fantastic integration of multiple idle games. That said it seems grass doesn't grow if you are in the grass section then leave it to idle. Or if you are in the grass or gold grass then only that one grows but not the other. If you are in the buyables, upgrade etc. section of grass then neither grow. Now if you idle in another section then both grow.
This game is really highly rated and seems to be well loved, so I keep coming back to it and trying it, but I can never tell where I am in the game, where I'm going, what my goals are. Everything is separated by multiple tabs with no overview or at-a-glance view that I can find. I don't know which tabs are ready to progress, are important to work on next, are having a large effect on overall performance. I'm just blindly clicking through things and I guess I'm supposed to build a mental map of the game's architecture (which I assume will continue to get more and more complex). The game's balance and mechanics might be really interesting, but to me it's just a black box.
Cannot figure out how to switch from dice to rockets or progress with dice. Dice are incredibly slow and monotonous and I feel that something should change about the balance of portals maybe. It feels like there is not enough content during this part of the game (e200-e308).
I just heard that this lol... interesting :P
please make it so the Booster Dice cant reroll into the exact same thing over and over, i've rolled back into the same two currencies over and over for the past hour
I think the speed of the early game was perfect, after getting dice and not rockets, I feel like I missed something not having access to both and it got a bit grindy at e240-e308. Pets are cool but basing large chunks of the game around CB isn't my favorite idea
the game is good! it's very creative and has lots of different mechanics from a variety of incremental games that exist. had much fun with the different things in the game.
however, i do have one thing to say: including check back, a game that is meant to be extremely timewally (i haven't actually played check back yet but this is what it feels like), and basing many objectives around it is not a good idea. it just feels like you're supposed to spend hours on end doing nothing but waiting until you finally reach the excruciating milestone. if you do want to include check back, just make the timers like 10x faster and the ones that take longer than 1 hour even faster.
I think the check back tab could use some polishing
Been really enjoying the game, but have run into a bit of a stumbling block in that every time I complete Challenge 5 it resets without clearing the challenge. Also, your discord invite link seems to have expired, so I can't get on there to ask for possible solutions. Thanks much.
what does the gwa temple do?
the game is really neat and cool, lot of cool mechanics and though it's a bit slow in the beginning, it has it's qualities
my main gripe thus far? GRASS. Like, oh cool, GCI reference, cool callout but like YEESH is it slow. And such a shame too since it's such a progression wall, clearly. [pent 1, here]
like four-something seconds as a base grow speed seems.. really, really slow, I don't know if that's just me or what
I want to spend the time thoroughly playing this game before I write more of my feelings about it, but I have to say--the UI inconsistency is really getting to me. I have eye problems so I have to keep the game at 140% to be able to read the small text in the factor buttons, but as a result the text in the rank buttons is MASSIVE. Generally there's consistency between UI elements in a certain app/website/game because it's less jarring for the eyes.
developer response: have any specific suggestions?
first time i see a layer inside of a layer in an actual tmt game
Am i mistaken or isn’t golden grass supposed to be produced at the same time as normal grass? Every time i switch tabs the progress on the other tab halts, screwing me over.
There's a bug in the game with max buying which in the
omg I LIKE IT!
There seems to be some problem with (normal) grass not spawning when you're on the golden grass tab. (it happens when the browser tab is unfocused, didn't check if it also happens when the tab is on focus. grass spawns normally with the tab unfocused if the game is left in any other place than golden grass)
WHY?
