the game is nice, but yeah getting to the artifact without dying once is a challenge on your first playthrough. I really hope it gets more chapters, I really loved increlution and this one has a similar vibe

Finished the chapter. Definitely enjoyed it and can't wait for more!

Balance-wise... Probably not everyone will have the same experience since I just chipped away at that challenge and got everything else explored prior to finishing it, but there was definitely plenty of room for optimization that just ended up not being needed. I think I might run one more loop to optimize and see how many resources I can finish with.

developer response: Sounds like you pretty much did it the way I intended, so I probably won't change too much balance in Chapter 1, but we'll see. Glad you're enjoying it :)

Hey, I found a typo! It write Synthesise, while it should be Synthesize!

developer response: That's actually English Vs American, so synthesise is correct.

yeah i had the same problem as gordius, weird but I almost didn't wanna report because I knew it'd be VERY helpful on that run which let me get to the end of this version that life. this game was interesting from the prologue thanks to the actions changing, but now that we see so much more change, plus the kinda nuts blue events this game is going to be a beautiful adventure.

an idea for QoL: make a notification pop up if u forgot/cant find something important (like 1 of the actions which save inbetween loops) for a few loops. could help some people which arent very clever or are forgetful
could also be togglable

developer response: Someone over on Itch suggested something similar. I'm not against the idea, but I'm not 100% sure how I'd implement it without it being annoying to people who do remember. Definitely something I'll investigate in the next major version though.

I played the original demo; the extra water sources added since then definitely make the new version feel less incredibly-deadly. That said, the rover's water recycler becomes visible and interactible before even exploring the vehicle bay to learn of the rover's existence, which seems unintended? Also, the records that you play in the admin's office no longer trigger a story beat, which definitely seems like a bug.

Similar bug to the others: I exported my save just before leaving the first station (since I couldn't remember if you lost access to the coupler or not and wanted to check). Upon import immediately after (you DO lose access), I still had all the actions available, but none of them would complete and were acting like I was right clicking them. The "personal resources" were blank as if there were none, but they were clearly depleting since I died about 30 seconds later. Checks to refill the non-visible stats appear to be being skipped because tanks, water, and food were all unused. Hopefully that helps track down the issue in the import.

developer response: Hmm, ok. I'll look into that. Good news is, people have been sending me plenty of exported saves for me to test with :D

Is it a bug when I randomly die of thirst in ? I have full resources and inventory, and I just die randomly in the building. It's happened twice now and I haven't gotten any explanation of what happened so I assume this is unintentional.

developer response: Yep, apologies, this was a bug in v0.3.1. I've released a hotfix to correct that, so if you make sure you're now on 3.1.1, refresh if you're not, then you should be good to go.

had a lot of fun, got past the (with about 3:30 to wait) with about 180 power surplus. This game so far has an excellent pacing and sense of progress, and I love how both the player knowledge and the character knowledge influence how well future loops go. There's definitely still a few kinks to work out (I got hardlocked several times before being able to loop) and it was a bit infurinating dying to because I couldn't drink fast enough, despite having enough water, but overall I loved it and am very excited for future chapters!

developer response: Thanks! I'll keep tweaking the pre-loop balance, but I think it's getting fairly close to how I want it. If you think any specific parts are too hard/not obvious enough though, please do let me know. Dying due to not being able to drink fast enough is very much intended. You can always leave and do other actions while your cooldowns run out ;)

Is it possible to reach the coordinate? I had finished two loops and none have reached there. This is pretty good though. (next update is in five hours, forever)

developer response: Yes, reaching the coordinates is possible, and is the end of the current content. Glad you enjoyed it so far.

Would it be possible for you to post a complete save file? I couldn't copy and paste the save from galaxy, so when I refreshed the tab after completing the game, I lost all my progress (21 loops).

well I finished the loop but the only option available was to restart, I wonder why I couldn't do more loops of this? Is that some unfinished game element I don't know. It was rather fun game to play even though I think the 10 minute destruction element at the beginning was rather rude and to route for this to be possible frankly way too annoying.

developer response: As it says on the death screen - you have to reach a certain point in the story before you can loop. If you die before that, you just die because you're not in a time loop yet.

Opened the game today after finishing two loops in a new save yesterday and then on the third loop I can suddenly make water bottles in the rover after just getting to it? Was it supposed to only unlock after I get to the second base and install the filters?

developer response: Yes, that's a known bug and will be fixed next version.

How is water recycler (rover) working? I don't see any new option or benefit. in fact, installing it prevents me from getting water bottles..

developer response: That's a known bug and will be fixed next version. You're not supposed to have the 'Fill Water Bottle' action until you install it.

I love how this game is similar to Increlution, but offers permanent actions (signifying that you recall what was done in a previous loop) and how loops can change economising various sections. The game has had me playing it in preference of several new Steam games....however I think I've hit my limit on the current version. I still have stuff to do at Laurion, but not sure how to survive it and also not sure how i'll get to the 3rd location due to low resources. Which is also what makes it different to Increlution, not only does your character learn, but so do you as a player in order to understand how to pass certain areas. Cannot just rely on the loop xp and "brute force" your way through the game. Well done Shadowsand, this is one of the best incrementals I've seen recently :)

May have found another bug, I performed a forced Loop Now, following that under the Events section the hunger and carbon filter bars didn't appear
