Did this game just update and place a cap on energy? Which is the opposite of what people were commenting on?
And apparently it doesn't automatically continue the last action after energy's been filled up again. Maybe that's an upgrade? If it's missing entirely that's kinda questionable. Why have it automatically rest but not continue what it was doing?
developer response: There was a bug in the first version 0.1 where the cap was not respected under some conditions. That was fixed in 0.1.1.
Automations for work/surf and other things will be added as unlockables as you progress the game.

On the other hand, this is kind of nice? I'm still used to Kongregate and the like where the uploaded games were free to begin with, some with added content when you pay, so in all honesty paying for an incremental game still strikes me as odd.
Oof, looks like that level 4 forecasting and observing criterion for side quest 2.2 wasn't changed from before. Maybe the xp gain for the skill was increased? If that hasn't changed I'm still going to label this as a bug till the dev weighs in.
The 3 criteria for that sidequest + my progress: Surf for 15 days (348) Work 30 hours as surf guide (106.7) Reach level 4 in Forecasting and Observing (I'm 5% of the way there, halfway to level 3).
The first two are fine, the last one (which is a part of surfing itself) is absolutely insane. By the time I reach that I'll have overshot the surf time requirement by 464 times.
I can't tell if my save is broken or not. I have "All quests completed! Join our Discord to be first to know about the next updates." But if I go to france, I have a side quest Hossegor's Blessing which requires "contest_placement: top_1". Also, I can't advance my surf level to 4 because I haven't unlocked two skills that it requires. I was able to get 1st place on the competition in the meditarian (the easier one), but getting the other is unlikely when my skill is 3.9, which is below the competitor average of 4. Also, it seems like I should have access to portugal because I've completed 2.4, but I don't. Game is borked?
Tried this a few months ago and it was too slow, now it felt really good. Great game, and I felt like paying 2.5€ for it was worth it. Rating a paid game is a bit hard though, this is a 5/5 for me as a free game, but as a paid maybe not? Click.galaxy needs to somehow separate the ratings of paid and free games.
Why does it go by day if days are not measurable :/.
This isn't a bad game at all, but this should not be a paid game. It's too shallow content-wise.
I like how for a full day's energy (20) you can work for 8 hours or surf for 1 hour.
really good so far, fitness energy gain rate should scale equally with energy cap, i.e. when cap goes from 20-->40, rate should increase from 20 a day to 40 a day, or at least increase energy regain rate when increasing the cap, also please remove wipeout requirements from certain quests as my skills have leveled up too much, and now im lucky to get even one wipeout in a single 3hr surf session, and i need 13 more wipeouts...
Genuinely the concept is charming, but my god is the fucking loop just in that dead zone where it's not idle enough to check in via a tab in every few seconds but not active enough to play actively.

developer response: Sorry to hear that. The game URL changed so maybe you can find your save on old url: https://goat-surfer.netlify.app/. There you can continue, or export and import it in to the new location.

developer response: The latest version is more IDLE friendly and if you are offline or on different tab, you start collecting STOKE which helps you to speed up the game when you are back to active play.

Very very clean UI. However, I feel that placement can use some work. For example, equipable items are weirdly placed, since people would want to turn them on and off depending on if they are surfing or working. Things that have no cost should be perma-on regardless since there's no downside, but things that drain money to use should be put in a more accessible place on the main screen. Speaking of, we need more information also to know what the differences between different types of surfing can provide. I have no idea which to do to grind which stat at the moment. Finally, it feels a bit weird that houses drain your money even when you're not USING it. Maybe that can be changed?
Otherwise, it's a pretty clean, interesting idle game.
It's a really nice game, but I would really like to be able to see side missions of all locations at all times (or at least togeable without needing to travel back)

Am I the only one who would like energy to recover a bit faster in the beginning? Other than that, this is amazing for a first game.
