Ok, so i was tweaking with my save file and i kinda made the game unplayable, like a can't press anything and the game is just paused. I would post the save file but, i dont want you to not be able to play.

Is there another way to get money other than quests?

developer response: No, but there are more quests if you reach reptutation 10.

Damn, I was just trying to grind to level 10 in all (or at least most) skills because of the achievement effect (which is seriously overpowered) but some of the level 10 bonuses are incredibly more useful than what I was expecting. PS the tenacity skill is such a pain to level up, compared to the others x.x

Had a lot of fun and thought the progression was pretty well balanced. When you go through the steps of getting a new item it often yields a new breakpoint, like being able to infinitely grind a different zone without food, or finally take down the bear, which is really satisfying design.

On the other hand, sometimes you get a 1 in 10000 drop that gives you 1% fire resistance. Or you spend hours leveling up a skill and the +1 strength buff it gives you means the difference between 2shotting your enemies and still 2shotting them.

I do love the "level up everything" philosophy, but the tiny incremental stat buffs aren't always all that satisfying, even the ones that are secretly really useful. I'm both intrigued and terrified about the heirlooming process. What if I took the wrong chest armor and don't find out until later that I wasted an entire prestige cycle (which is quite long, and is hinted at being a limited resource). Now I'm just priced in?

I found the day-night cycle pretty frustrating in general. The drop rates and exp rates being what they are, the game asks you to idle for long periods. I don't want to come back from doing other things and not be able to do my crafting or shopping. There's not really enough reason to care about the underlying timers anyway. In most cases you collect items so slowly that the bottleneck is always going to be gathering the materials, not seeing the quests.

The menuing is pretty excessive. Go to adventuring quarter. Take a quest. Back back back. Go to town. Go to crafting quarters. Go to woodworking shop. Go to sales. Go to woodworking station. Craft your shields and swords. Back back back. Go to the adventuring guild. Go to the desk. Pant pant pant. Turn in your quest. Congratulations, you have earned one silver. Your next item costs like 10 of those and you're locked out of that quest for a while.

I didn't know that the enchantments did anything for the longest time because you have to take your equipment off to enchant it. I even paid some of my precious early game silver for the enchanting work station thinking that would do it. Not super intuitive.

I was so paranoid about accidentally turning in my leveled-up training sword for the quest. I don't know if it's actually possible or not.

A few times I accidentally took the rat meat quest thinking it was the raw meat quest, and of course the first time I went to the quest board I just accepted every quest and couldn't complete most of them. I'm not sure how impactful the reputation penalty is, but potentially that's an unnecessary annoyance.

developer response: Hello, thanks for trying the game and for the feedback, let me answer some of your points:

1) The Heirloom Blessings is not limited, you can take it as many time as you want. There is no way in the game to lock yourself out of anything, it is more about collecting everything. This is mentioned on hover over the title "make your choice". It was most likely not obvious there is a tooltip there, so I have added a small question mark there.

2) While I understand the menu can get quite clicky, the example you gave is not very representative. You could instead do this: Farm mice for 20 minutes for rat tails and rat meat, 3 clicks to wood, gather wood for another 20 minutes, 3 clicks to rabbit and chickens, another 20 or so minutes for feathers, raw meat and rabbit fur. 4 clicks to finish job quests, if you get some rng luck and all the quests were generated, complete rat tail, rat meats, wood, feathers, raw meat and rabbit fur for 6 silver. Being able to push stronger monsters would let you do another 2 clicks from rabbits for another 4 quests, and so on. By the time you gather another set of items for the next set of quests, the quests should be refreshed. Also the more quests you do, the more reputation you get. At 10 reputation you unlock another set of 6 quests for a total 12 of quests every refresh.

3) There is flashing icon in the inventory that explains that you can only ever lose an item to any mechanic (other than destroying it manually) when it's "clean" - no experience, no enchant, not marked as favorite or hidden, etc.

4) The reputation cannot go below 0 and the maximum useful reputation right now is 10. You start at 0 and many people do (and that's within expectation) what you did, making their 0 reputation go to 0 after missing a few of the first quests they accepted.

Thanks again for playing!

No, I did not speed up the game. I got a quest and it ran out of time despite me having just started it.

It seems that, since the last time I've played, you can now see the material cost for recipes (great!) but can no longer see their price (uh oh!).

developer response: Yes, this has been a bug I introduced with the list of materials on diagrams, I fixed it within 20 minutes, along with two other bugs.

You can see updates on the discord.

why would you make lifewater V and powerwell V I have to spend another two days grinding materials then spend another who knows how many days chugging them all down in intervals of 5 seconds

developer response: You don't have to. Take all blessings and you are done with the demo :)

Those achievements are not balanced around the length of the demo.

I have just aquried the rabbit card and bought the upgrade station, do i need anything else to enchant it or does the item need to be A/S class because at the moment i am unable to enchant anything

developer response: You can enchant anything with a slot - training sword, wooden shield, leather or magic armor (not iron).

You enchant by clicking the card or enchant when you are not doing any other action (top middle window is empty)

Having a blast with this game, but noticed I don't see much of a point to using the cloth caster gear. MDEF doesn't seem to benefit you at all. Going through the tower, it's strictly detrimental, all of the elemental slimes hit harder with both their physical auto attack and their elemental casts. Not sure if that's intentional or just a bug no one is talking about. I understand the slimes have elemental damage, but the description of MDEF makes it sound like it should apply globally, might be a misunderstanding on my end.

developer response: That is indeed true until you get to floor 4 and floor 5.

MDEF decreases magical damage received by a percentage (up to 95%), all spells within the game deal magical damage (if they do deal damage). It also works as intended.

Also the cloth armor is the only one providing mana regeneration and multiple enchantment slots.

Thanks for checking the game out!

Why do people keep complaining about things that are literally explained in game. Or worse complain about the game have small bits of realism its an rpg not cookie clicker.
Guys this game was made 4 days ago and is basically version 0.1 and the dev has been daily updating. expect bugs or some slight missing features.
this is an idle rpg stop crying about things taking a while your ment to idle away just be glad this isn't like the other idle rpgs where they expect 8 hours of idling for one quest this game just requires 5-20 mins. so your fine just enjoy it. if you cant then maybe idle Rpgss aren't for you
with me being a near end game player (yes I played too much) I can confidently say the only things that aren't ever explained. are what the rebirth process takes away from you and the achievement requirements. and I mean it these are the only things not explained in game. if you dont understand something you either didn’t read or didn’t find the information yet.
but every single achievement is one you will either A: naturally happen across like the fighting or skill achievements. or B: something you can kinda reason out based on whats in the game like the achievement with sleeping symbols. Achievements give bonuses to gameplay your clearly ment to figure it out yourself if your so bugged about not knowing how to get an achievement i'll write up a wiki page for this.

developer response: I'd like to point out that what you keep and what you lose on rebirth is actually explained in the game as well, on the hover on the "rebirth" button.

You must have either missed that, or are playing on mobile, which shows the hovers only on click, which in this case, rebirths instantly. The game is not supposed to be on mobile and that it is somewhat playable is pure coincidence.

The resonance achievements are really the only thing not explained in the game at all, until you get the first one and it kind of clicks based on the item's description, the achievement, it's icon, and the icons next to it. Not to mention the player is led by Traveler after beating the bear to use a bow on the bear... which, you know what happens. Could be missed, but the leading towards at least one of the resonance is there.

Thanks for playing!

I don't know what exactly happened, but after handing in like 5 quests very quickly I seem to have gotten the items, but my gold was still way lower than what it said in the log I should have received (1 Silver 88 copper, probably what I had before already) and according to the log I should have gotten 6 silver from the quests.

For reference I don't know how to

developer response: Hover over the yellowly blinking question mark in the upper right corner of inventory, it explains that to feed weapons, you need to open the inventory controls by holding shift (or clicking the gear icon in lower left corner of inventory). Then, there will be an icon for feeding, with hover info explaining the mechanic in detail.

Suggestion:

I can't seem to unlock the NPC to buy bestiary entries from anymore. I get the feeling it's because I turned the bow into an heirloom, and the trigger to unlocking it was killing the bear with no bow in the inventory. (already tried killing it with a different weapon to get the ruined hide, no luck)

developer response: Lomsi is a Traveler, interactions with Traveler are permanent. Check your Journal -> Traveler for info regarding him.

Basically - if you met him once, he is unlocked and stays unlocked, in journal you can read up that he appears in the evening in the hunter's cabin.
