sort: go backAgreed on this being real buggy. The "% improvement" upgrades of various sorts vary from "actually does nothing" to "divides your CPU/GPU power and just nerfs you a lot". The best route is to export a save before buying an upgrade, then check to see if it actually does anything, then reload if it didn't but... Why should I have to work around incredibly punishing bugs like this, as a player?
buggy as hell
none of the upgrades work bro
sorry for deleting the comment and repeating (not sure if galaxy has an edit function -- I can't find one).
I enjoy this one, simply, elegant, cool UI. I have not seemingly run into any bugs, but am curious if there's anything past prestiging a couple of times? I am unsure, so bookmarking for future content (are you planning future content?).
some thoughts..
- I wasn't sure if the math was right, I'm no mathmagician but I couldn't quite figure out the calculations of total CC/s and PAs after prestiging a few times. I would round down or round down the presumed formula, but could never get it to line up correctly.
- I'd recommend scaling the points harder maybe? prestiging takes the same amount of PA each time but as it gets easier you just hit it faster. unless that would interfere with future content.
- any plans for future content? if so, I'd recommend another layer
- edit: the PA/s after prestiging is still bugged? I'm not sure. the first prestige the hacking went by a lot faster when I clicked. then afterwards and ever after that seemed normalized to the original pre-prestige state.
lots of fun so far. i really like the UI and concept. not sure if this is your only game, but the only one on galaxy. if so, kudos to your first attempt. not sure why its rated as low as it is. it's much better than the score indicates, albeit a bit short. maybe because the bugs previously?
Good premise. The upgrades made me quit as it instantly made my progress grind to a halt instead of helping.
Whats after prestige? Is it just you go on and on, resetting for a bonus... Or is there more behind it? I love the concept and UI of the game, but I need to know when to stop.
using the global key did not reset my on-click hacks upgrades :)
Why does the hacking progress bar ignore upgrades?
pretty neat UI
Hacking buffs seem to only work on the current target, if any, and don't work on any future targets. As of 3/18 update.
I don't know if this is an oversight or intentional, but the "Password Attempts" number increments when hacking is inactive and doesn't increment when it is active. I feel like this should be the other way around.
Great game but I don't think my save is normal xD.
Save:
I dunno, @sbloom85. For me it is like this: When hacking is active, it hacks specifically the targetted device. But, when inactive, you don't have any targets and decide to hack for the prestige.
After prestige my password attempt clicks still give 25 PAs—is this the intended behavior or should that upgrade line (PA/click) reset on prestige?
Pretty nice game, I got my first prestige pretty quick. Giving only pretty low gains though. And it seems the Quantum Click Accelerator
upgrade sticks around after my first prestige even though I see it again in the black market. Reloading the game fixes that issue, but shouldn't be needed.
i really dig this and how you can move around the windows but i think it would be nice if you didn't have to buy the devices...
I keep hacking computer but my cpu and gpu powers keep showing 0 at system performance?
the PA reduction upgrade only works for current hacking attempts and not new access points
I have now done 3 prestiges and I haven't gotten the "instant hack" to work even once? Is it bugged?
developer response: The instant hack does work, you must just be getting unlucky
pov: you bought an upgrade and it didn't do anything. you said meh maybe i didnt get the mechanic. you did it again. and again. maybe it is bugged? let me reload the page. oops! you start from the start. now you are looking at the comments.
cool and stylish game but obviously very buggy. i kinda wonder how it got released with these game breaking bugs while it is otherwise so beautifully made. i don't know how it would normally run to say anything about the game flow but it wasn't too slow to make me lose interest even in this state. one of the better incremental games i played these days.
