comments for A brutal speedrun incremental
sort: go backdeveloper response: It should probably be fixed now
developer response: The font is now changed to roboto mono, hope this helps!
developer response: Thanks for the suggestion! I actually considered a roguelite, but i want to keep the game's focus on skill and optimization instead of resetting until you beat the game.
In a rougelite you get better because your stats get higher, but in this game you get better by you getting better and not the game becoming easier. Maybe i will make one later :)
the hardest part before any muscle memory ish things are from the part, where you kinda have to quickly switch between several tabs!
I liked this concept, and not gonna lie, it could be further developed upon!
However, I do have 1 complaint, it is that the resources are placed at the bottom left section - I don't think I can easily see the resources and the upgrades at the same time. Furthermore, the "5" and "2" are kinda weird in font.
developer response: The font is now changed for increased readability, thanks for your suggestions.
keyboard shortcuts could be nice for flicking pages and buying upgrades (if the game is ever extended past 6 pages you could add keybinds as an unlockable roguelite feature i think that’d be funny)
i enjoy the strategy of learning when to stop spamming upgrades and start shooting for the next page
the automation upgrades for the 2nd page are redundant considering they cap so quickly, it’s more efficient to ignore the automation and cap them all yourself manually
the last page is a little strange and i just dont get it to be honest
also putting explanation text in that i have to read mid run is pretty brutal but its also funny and if there were more content i’d find it amusing to include a long description that you have to read but it takes so long that the run is basically done
developer response: There is now a keybinds feature (it's for free, you don't have to unlock it)
My current best is 191.4, with auto clicker a 189.4
@developer I have to say that it was a fun one to figure out good speedrun strats for, but a magician never reveals his tricks, so good luck.
developer response: GGs! Glad you liked the game!
I wish I had a suggestion as to how to improve it, but all of my suggestions would kind of negate the whole point of it being a challenge. Game isn't for me because an elephant has better reaction time than I do. But it's a really neat concept that I think just needs some tweaking in ways that I can't comprehend.
developer response: Theres hotkeys now :D
I wish there was a separate forum to talk strategy
developer response: I mean, unforgiving is the point of the game, right? Thanks for playing it, and (it isn't even that unforgiving either, you can have 20+s to spare)
does this have a discord server? does this still get updated?
developer response: No; and the game is finished (if it's too long it gets slightly repetitive after some time)
hope you keep updating the game and learn to code so there’s no gen-ai disclaimer :)

- Roguelite : Each time the player fails to complete a run, based on their performance, they'll get points wich will would unlock milestones that gives them, for exemple, a tiny boost in currency, some automation, etc...
- Stress-free mode : The Game Simply Without The Timer.
- Hardcore Mode : Near-Perfect Management required to beat the game.
