comments for No Blink Allowed Prologue
sort: go backmy other note is that there are a couple of spelling/grammar mistakes. on the shop upgrade tree, it says "moove" instead of move. for the "bet up" upgrade, the phrasing should be "increase the value of each bet by [x] shards." the original phrasing is technically correct, but its very clunky. it should b the "milky way" galaxy instead of "milky ways" also, at the end of the game the player is directed to take a survey via a "bottom left button" but the button is actually on the right :3
i feel maternal instincts towards the ship ai
developer response: Thanks for the feedback! If you are using Firefox, I recommend trying another browser if you can (I haven't figured out why this browser is problematic ...)
Also corrected the typos you mentioned, sorry about that, I'm not a native speaker (used to work with, but with non-native speakers, so it can be a mess sometimes ^^")
developer response: Really appreciated! These are the kind of words that give me a lot of motivation!
developer response: Thanks for the feedback. As said above, it seems to come from the bet button available too soon ...
I made a quick fix, which should fix the issue.
Sorry for the bug ><"
It's new, it's different, I didn't experience any bugs at all, except when I clicked menu when the "the playtest has ended" prompt came up and was showing my stats, then I couldn't access my shop and had to refresh.
Either way, realy really cool, man. Props to the dev team. Really fun, but if I'm completely honest, can't see how this doesn't get boring during the full game or later part.
It's super fun as a short, cute, sweet, 30-minute game, yet I do get a little tired. Maybe it's my own attention span.
Realy really cool, though. Finished the game quickly and upgrades felt impactful and rewarding.
Good job dev(s)!
developer response: Thanks a lot for the words, it means a lot to me (solo dev here ^^")
I have the same "fear" about length... In fact, I don't think I will go over 2h, 3h max, and I'll try to find ways to refresh the gameplay a bit.
If you have any idea on that, I'd love to hear it though!
The main mechanic of this game is not only unique, but it's actually FUN.
(also the ship AI is cute, I'm thinking of making fanart rn)
I do wish the punishment for hitting the button too late still felt punishing in the end game, since it just takes away the amount of money you bet, which is like 1000 shards (and you already have like 10 million so it doesn't even make a scratch)
Like what if there was a hazard that took all of your money if you hit the button too late?
developer response: Haaa thx for the words! I try my best to find out weird, fun ideas to play with, and this one seems quite addictive, haha.
About the Bet system, I still have to figure out how to make a real risk/reward system without breaking the economy, but it is high on my to-do list for sure!
(I try it out to add some high-risk/high-reward mechanics)
I'd love to see this weird AI face in a fan art, though (but no obligation at all)
Overall, very fun, 37 minute time
Progression seemed well paced
developer response: This is the kind of comment that overwhelms my heart as a fresh solo dev! Thank you so much for the attention!
developer response: Thanks for the feedback, I'm unable to reproduce it on my side, unfortunately...
I made a quick fix (by delaying the button availability), which should fix the issue. May you let me know if it's ok on your side?
developer response: Hi, sorry about that. I've pushed a new update and separated the .exe and the .pck, it may help with your issue.
developer response: Yeah, I totally agree, it is still a work in progress, I'll try to add upgrades that can be worth using multiple stops more (like keep a part of each stop best threshold, or something like that)
developer response: Haha, I totaly agree, I think in the full game it will come way after, like the last upgrade, or like you say, I'll try out to mitigate it, to hide it somehow before 0 as you said!
Thanks for the ideas (and the words!), I'll try them out for sure
developer response: Sorry about that! I've pushed an update that adds VSync and a 'Web Optimisation' option, which disables a bunch of shaders to make it a bit lighter on the GPU.
That said, if you're using Firefox, I'd still recommend trying another browser (I haven't been able to figure out how to fix these issues on Firefox...).
developer response: I've pushed an update with some web_optimisation / vsync, maybe it will work better, but I haven't been able to figure out how to fix these issues on Firefox

developer response: There is no "mercy" system, but the stop is managed at 120 frames/sec (so if you hit between 0.008 and 0.000, you get a perfect).
