Sol's RNG is a popular roblox game that accidentally did something it never intended to.
I've been in the RNG / incremental community for quite some time though we're focusing on the RNG community.
RNG is simple, RNG = Random Number Generator. But one day, a user named "solge_YuTb" decided to make a game about RNG. It was Sol's RNG: A game where you can grind for rarities and use gloves and potions to get better rarities. The rarities also included auras!
Sol's RNG out of the blue went from 20 players to 30 thousand. [i was there when it hit 20 players i have the in-dev achievement so i know] and everything was fine. But then people started calling the rarities auras, and fangames were made about Sol's RNG.
Sol's RNG caused people to treat rarities as "Auras" & with the fangames that were all marketting themselves as RNG games but in reality are aura games, people are building a fake RNG community when all they care about is the reward: auras.
So there is the real RNG community and then the fake RNG community.
And that's how Sol's RNG did something it never intended to do: Rewrite what RNG means
This affects the RNG community heavily and is like a stab in the heart to an already dying community.
[tldr: too many people were treating RNG as aura's due to sol's massive explosion in popularity, thus building a fake RNG community]
