description
Through winter
A meditative idle game, made to give the player some room to think while playing. Its ment to be a slow paced relaxing experience. There is no fail state or ending. Just a place to make your home and relax.
Its designed to keep some information hidden from the player, so if something is not directly obvious you might have to explore or wait a little longer for things to present themself.
About the safe system: Saves live in your browsers local storage, this is sort of reliable but not over long term. you can choose to export the safefile to a json or use your google account to play cross device. At no point is a login required to do anything.
generative ai disclosure
This game doesnt use a engine and is build fully in NextJS. As such a have used AI support in the IDE.

developer response: I noticed it in early development and decided to keep it that way. Since the game is a metaphore for helping people with depression i like the feeling of "however good you do, a little always remains"
developer response: Before the last update animals were temporary, you befriended them for X amount of hours. A feast would prolong the stay off all animals by 1 hour.
Since this was annoying and "Befriending for 1 hour" sounds wierd, i made animals stay permenantly, and just gave the feast a 20k flower reward as a temporary placeholder. And it unlocks a jounal entry if you care about those.
So at this point its not that usefull, and will be used for future content.
Anyway, I've now explored the entire map (finding a single mountain is annoying, but when you have a whole mountain range going it gets good), and I've only seen the bear twice. And apparently that's not enough visits for me to stuff him so full of honey he'll work for me. I assume it'd work like a marten, finally letting me move my excess honey into a stockpile?
developer response: Hi,
If more people end up wanting this i can surely do so, for now i dont want to make the save systems more complicated then it needs to be

developer response: Hi! it is made with ai, not generative AI in the classical sense. Each image is a series of SVG shapes that animate together. These were generated but polished a lot afterwards.
developer response: Hi there!
I will respond to both comments in this one. These things are left "unknown" on purpose in the game design. However you are not the first one asking about it, so it might have to change in the future.
The whole game is build around the feelings i had in recent years of taking care of a depressed friend. Without going too much into detail almost every aspect of the game is a metaphore. I've so far left this out of the game/context so players can explore what it feels like for themselves, but this can also change in the future
Awesome game btw!
developer response: Thanks! I think you're right about the environmental impact, and the world has a real challange on its hands on how the worlds gonna turn out with ai. But i recon we had the same issues when the internet itself came to be.
And I really wish scrolling would work in the shop/build menus. For a bit I thought it did, but I might've imagined it.
Also... where is this mole getting all these flowers?
developer response: Hi! thanks for the feedback, the yeild of flowers can be increased in some other ways like automating the fox with the suspiciously organized piles of rocks. But the pace is definatly slower then some other games on the platform.
About where the mole gets his flowers... He can't specify, but its from "some underground marketplace" ;)
