Jam period ended and the game is currently being development towards a full launch version for Steam. We'll aim to drop a new demo version and gather more feedback in the future. but we can't promise dates yet as we are still discovering our duo development velocity.

me with 93% attack chance and 50% block chance watching my character not do literally anything for 5 seconds straight and die:

I wish the game would automatically choose the "only" option at events. Full health at a campfire? Obviously grabbing the money. A merchant but I'm broke? Just continue on.
Maybe the option to set actions to always take, where possible, for events. For example "always buy a gem, if possible" and then when you encounter a merchant while broke you just walk on.

Aside from scaling of the game, this is a great demo, your main issue if you seek to expand the game after the jam will likely be the need to transfer from concrete stats to abstract stats (e.g. hit chance -> accuracy as a lot of the more powerful stats have a very hard limit), or crafting the ability tree to have interesting and powerful synergies. The main weakness of the current game is that it is a bit too rng dependent, after filling out the upgrade tree I did win the game on my first attempt, but I almost certainly wouldn't have if I didn't get the campfire as my last event. But making gold a reward for damage rather thank kills helps give the sense of progression for every run, and not getting caught up at the start waiting for your first kill, and creates an interesting interaction on the campfire where you have to make the decision whether the gold will be worth more than the gold you can damage out in the healed hp.

If i had to resume my experience in early game :
"Ok, i have 85% chance to hit. Finaly i'll be able to hit a monster once every 10 hit now!"
God, i hate luck-based fights. Thank god you can get 100% chance to hit relatively fast.
