Idle Football Manager

I just went 0-1-17 in division 9, losing most games by 5-6 goals. Both my offence and defence is ~1000, what am I doing wrong?

After the 3rd country the most importanti thing is training, alongside TV. entering the 6th country grants you enough money to get the 6.08e19 spectators achievement.
Pretty fun game, very much 100%able.

I'm in the third country ... the game is just so boring now, no new features, 4/10.

Didn't expect to have this much fun with a football game. One thing that's somewhat frustrating though is that your matches and AI vs AI matches behave noticeably differently. My team's games have about twice as many goals scored on average than other teams', so if your team is worse than average in the division you will always lose the GD tiebreaker, and if you're better, you'll always win it. (well, almost). I wonder how hard it would be for AI vs AI matches to be fully simulated, or at least have the statistics improved.
