There are recipes to learn, a skill to gain, and upgrades to unlock. Start small and build up to a fully automated biscuit factory.

As others have said, the game needs a save and autosave feature. I'd also agree the voiceover gets repetitive quickly. I think you could resolve that by adding a cooldown for Mama's voice line activation, or recording 300 more lines, lol.
I love that the art is made by hand and not generated, it gives the game heart. That alongside the recorded lines and clean UI (it's very easy on the eyes with a great color scheme adding to the cozy atmosphere) gives me the impression this was a cute passion project. Some people might not appreciate that, but I do! If you ever add more to the game, I hope you keep this personality you've given it.
For the record, I did play this long enough to figure out what all the upgrades do:
Auto Sell obviously sells things once finished baking, which you normally have to do manually
Bulk Ingredients decreases the starter cost of the various bakeables. It is possible to get everything down to $0
In The Name of Science decreases the cost of R&D by like two purchases worth of scaling (This is functionally a temporary effect!)
Better Equipment decrease the baking/R&D time
Creative Burst guarantees that the next time you use R&D it will unlock the next baking recipe (This is functionally a temporary effect!)
Fast Learner improves your Baking Skill gain rate.
Bigger Batches randomly improves the sell value of ONE of your unlocked bakeables (this only has a 1/14 chance of being useful!)
More Kitchen adds another progress bar that baking/R&D can be done in.
More Reach makes it so that whenever you or staff press an action button it takes up one more of the More Kitchen slots at once.
Staffed gives you automation. First purchase turns it on, each purchase after the first decreases how long before they auto-bake again.
Smart Staff ostensibly makes the staff choose the most valuable item to autobake instead of choosing randomly each time like they do by default. In practice the way it choose which item to make does not actually seem to be determined by sell value, they generally choose close to the best but won't always actually choose the best option.
Okay, well, the game loaded, and I regret it.
1: None of the upgrades explain what they do. I keep spending points on Creative Burst that seem to go away.
2: The voice lines are cute the first 10 times, and then the diminishing returns kick in hard.
3: Wait, what do you mean it doesn't save?
Has a few issues that really need to be addressed:
1. No way to stop staff from auto-baking. Since research takes baking slots, very hard to research at all the further you get.
2. Could really use at least a Sell ALL button if not auto-selling, clicking sell becomes an issue the bigger you make your kitchen.
3. Only 9 slots show on the same page, you have to scroll to reach the rest.
4. No save option.
for transparency, i've gone through and purged all old ratings because it seems like many 1-star ratings were left because the game wasn't loading. if you left a rating based on the actual quality of the game i encourage you to re-rate

This game is kinda a huge mess on all fronts. I can see the bones of an acceptable game here but they're buried under a lot of "this implementation wasn't thought out very well" and "why is nothing explained"
