HashQuest is an idle game where you mine for cryptocurrency and build up your empire.
latest update
The nft nerfing and some other stuff v1.5.2 September 10, 2024
NFT Balancing
The NFT Studio 2000 is meant to be OP, but it was probably too OP.
There was a bug that allowed mobile users to color outside of the lines, adding score. This has been fixed.
Before you could also color the same area over and over again for infinite score.
You will now only be scored for 20x the canvas area.
There is still no limit to color bonus.
Rejected shares
Rejected shares are a thing in real mining, however, I felt all they added to the game was to clog the CommandLine with clutter.
So rejected shares have been removed from the game. GG on the 1% efficiency boost
Coin Generation
Max blocks used to plateau at rig lvl 350, this has been extended to beyond 5k

Is there a way to make it possible to actually sort the list by clicking on the headers? (i.e. by coin, price, age etc.) That would make it a lot easier... dunno if that would be a pain to implement though
I love that NFT feature
I love it when I can paint the entire canvas black and then sell it for one trillion dollars
You need to add Tether so you the player can create more money out of thin air
As much as I hate to say it NFTs are super OP as is... just saying... not really sure how to balance it though so I have no constructive feedback on that front.
Anyone figured out exactly what the DerpFi upgrades do?
developer response: It is protection from rug pulls. If a coin is rug pulled, and you have a balance of that coin, then the protected % of the coins are sold instead of just being lost.

For those who wonder how to play - select the coin you want to mine with a mouse click over it in the "Coins to mine" window.
Idk how I feel about this. The idea and visual style is nice, but the game is a torture to play - no automation (autofill requires money, has a long cooldown, fills up only a portion = useless), manual clicks to fill the energy, mining is very slow and what is even the point to have a cooldown between shares? Imo it would be better to just be able to setup rigs for each coin, slowly mine all of them at once and sell when one hits a better price or have a way to trade coins for each other like it was suggested in the other comments.
I'm sorry but for me personally it's unplayable atm.

how do i play the game???
NFT way too op. can just stack multiple colors and get unlimited score ---> Money
A pretty dull slow start. Upgrades could do with the post-upgrade stats being shown.
Not a fan of the mining cooldown, if the late game needs a cooldown to be implemented then don't make the already egregious start suffer even more from it.
