Major Sprites Visual Overhaul May 11, 2026
After plenty feedback and help, I improved the graphics a lot! Now it is proper 16 bit, only a few sprites might look out of place, but little by little I try to improve every sprite until it looks good!
Let me know what you think of the new look, a little balance changes also included. Soonish I implrement new content, but a lot of time I spent on improving the visuals :D

The game itself seems to be quite sluggish, sometimes it feels like 2 fps.
developer response: Thanks for conforming that the camera bug is finally solved!
The web version is definitely a little big laggier since I'll add more and more content to it, but in my case also a bit depending where I play it. Here on Galaxy it is working a little worse than for example on itch, but overall it is fine enough. Nevertheless I started already with some optimization, but still a lot I have to do...
It may well be perfectly balanced overall, but it kinda feels off to me.
developer response: There still must be done a lot of balancing once it goes more and more into full release 1.0. So yeah - your point is valid. It just so the player has to decide in what to invest. Maybe in more wood production, so down the line you profit more compared to the cost you spent and so on :D
i'm not sure what the fix is though. i'd say the clickable buildings should pop against the background a little more. the quick access strip on the left and the resource income per building summary in the lower right both need to go. they're both clutter.
oh ya.. and the way you can't click and drag to move across the terrain should be fixed.
also mousing over buildings and then mousing over to buy things is a mistake. you sohuld click the building which should bring up a UI that you then interact with and manually close with [ESC] or clicking an x.
i think all these changes would make gameplay much more pleasant.
developer response: Hey thanks for the feedback! Greatly appreciate it!
In an earlier version the clickable buildings had a strong black outline, but then they don't look fitting anymore. But yeah maybe I can find some additional solutions to make it easier to see.
For the UIs: I can actually add some options in settings to turn them off/on completely. good suggestions!
you can move across the terrain with holding right click or do you also experience the camera shake bug?
hmm never thought about it. I think it is a design choice, but I should try it with clicking on the building first to get also access to the UI.
developer response: yeah I feel you. The project gets bigger and bigger and the first load on web can take up to 10-15 seconds. Just doesn't feel good and heavily depending on the device of the player. I will look into more optimization for web. sorry :/
developer response: thank you! fixed :D

If they ARE just additive that makes prestiging feel kinda lacking. Like it barely actually helps with getting back up to speed.
developer response: Yes the first row of prestige is very basic, so the pacing is still fine and not going too fast :D But I will work on it with further updates :)
developer response: So the bug is still not fixed... It is so strange that some people have the camera shake, while others and me included have no issues at all. I try to look into the code again. Might be something with the browser or maybe going fullscreen at the bottom left or in the ingame settings might help? Maybe you can confirm. I'm sorry :/
The graphics are cute but it's a little bit unclear sometimes which things are clickable and which things are props, even with the outline button feature.
i feel like there is a lot of fun potential here even thought the concept reminds me of a handful of other games
developer response: Hey thank you for playing!
Yeah there are still some systems that need more work. At the moment every ressource at least can be used (for example faith can be used in the academy to still upgrade the priest units)
For the graphics I'm preparing a patch today or tomorrow to hopefully fix that issue!
developer response: Hey thank you for playing! Yeah I tried to fix some of the lags caused mostly by the music and trying to load everything beforehand, but unfortunately it is a bit the nature of web builds. Sometimes it is kinda tricky to optimize it. The finished game for windows etc. should run much smoother, but hopefully it was / is still somewhat playable for you on the web still :D
developer response: i don't know what wysi means :o Is something wrong?
Edit: it is the 727 and it is an osu meme apparently :D
