Why do I get groups of like 4-5 criminals popping in all together. Is my bookstore in the hood??

the graphics remind me of kindergarten 1-3 (yes the one with nuggets and goo and dumpser ladies and sewer ladies)

fun game and alright graphics, but the mixels really threw me out of it, it can make a game a lot more unpleasant to look at. It'd be great to do a little revamp of the graphics to fix that

It seems my cashier won't process multiple transactions at once, even after the upgrades. Also kind of silly that customers can fall asleep right after buying some coffee.

It's fun. It's a nodelike but not like all the others where you have limited time to do stuff.

It's slightly unethical that the bookstore owner's business model relies heavily on people dropping money in the store though :-)

Really liked the game. Upgrades were a bit difficult to scroll through, and I could have used some more upgrades for the cashier. But really enjoyed it, wish there was more to do!

Played through it, there's enough here for the dev to keep building and turn it into a full game, but right now it's a bit bare.

Some feedback:
I personally didn't like the skill tree's indicators for maxed/available. The green and yellow kind of disappear into each other and makes it a bit of a chore to find which one(s) you can afford sometimes.
My bottleneck ended up being the cashier at the end. It's odd I can buy another printer but can't ever hire another cashier.
A nice upgrade later on would be Contracted Candy - a delivery person arrives when your machine is at 5 to restock it for a flat $100.
If I could hover over the books on the bookshelf to see what type of book they are, that'd be nice. You could also randomize book titles as well, which would give a bit more detail and depth to the game.
A running log of what books get shredded would be nice as well. Logging in general would be nice as well as a stats page.
More variety in music is needed as well.

developer response: Yeah, green and yellow borders are indeed hard to distinguish, will change that. I'll keep stats, music and checking book types in mind as well. I also intend to rework the skill tree later on, since I'm still adding new mechanics and upgrades. Thanks for feedback!

Love that the criminals can be turned into prospective customers, now that's good business.
