description

A game about increasing your universe size for ages to come. Note: I (30IG) didn't create this game. My internet friend, -Danielt-, did. It's just that he was twelve when Replit shutdown Legacy Hosting, so I had to move it to my GitHub, which I only had done 2 things on before, so development could continue. Thankfully, now that he's thirteen, he can work on it again.

I need help I did challenge four for last achievement in 5th row and my game crashed and I try to open it and it doesn't work. I don't have any save file code or anything, if you can, please help!

<For those who complaining about balancing>
The description says it's not made by '30IncrementalGames", but made by 'Danielt". For issues you complain read ones below.
1. "Timewalls are too early, too long"
-> This is just waiting which can be skipped by using offline production.

2. "Some achievements about challenges can't be gotten"
-> This is a bug. But you can still get some of them.

3. "My game broke and refuses to load"
-> This occurs after beating some challenges, I think it's due to helpers automating upg 1. Sadly this can't be fixed and I tried with good PC but same.
-> Thus helpers should have toggles(all of them) and upgs should be free if automated.
-> I'll highly recommend you to export often after unlocking challenges. And import it after the game broke.

4. "I'm stuck at challenges"
-> You can !!retry !!them, which gives bigger reward. But then it'll vastly inflate so that it'll end up breaking the game.
-> As I said in issue 3, even if you do in a good PC, retrying some challenges will break the game.

5. "Dark matter effect is too bad"
-> If the effect is buffed, the game would break much more after challenges
-> If the effect gets replaced by polynomial or linear one, the early game should be better. However, it'll make the game impossible to beat as polynomial effect is MUCH weaker if the number is big enough.(note: endgame is ee8)

developer response: 2. I have no idea why. It used to always work.
3a. I'll debug this eventually.
3b. I've procrastinated on that for forever BTW
4. The game has barely changed in terms of endgame game play since v0.2.3 (Antiremoval Update), and back then, people were beating it.
5. It's already polynomial growth.

Glad to know, this game can get LOTS of potential if coded well (which this had been). Quick question. Does this game support past e308? (e500, for example.)

developer response: That's basically the entire premise. Also, I'm still trying my best - it's just I need to stop procrastinating on the next actual update

This deserves FAR higher rating than only 2.6 stars...

developer response: Well, good news: I talked to my mother about it, and I got my GitHub back! I also resent the collaboration request to -Danielt-, and he accepted it back. Yay! Now we can both work on it!

I know you already responded about this, but it is not a "5 minute timewall". statistics say i last bought a dimension 20 minutes ago and i just crossed the 1e26 threshold, meaning i have 10 times that (3 and a half hours) before i reach 1e27, the next upgrade. it took less than hour to get this point. That is a crazy timewall.

developer response: I didn't LITERALLY mean 5 minutes...

I want to be as constructive as possible here, but it is really hard to address some of these issues in a way that won't be at least somewhat triggering. There is a decent foundation here, but there are also some issues:
1. The timewalls are too much, too early, and too long. There just isn't enough gameplay before you start hitting them. You get to the first one, and wait it out - but on the other side you aren't really greeted with any meaningful change to gameplay. Then you do it again, and its a bit longer, and still not much of a change. Why would a player want to sit through a third?
2. There are points when it isn't clear whether making available purchases is going to help at all with getting toward your next goal or just set you back in your current timewall.
3. When you hear the same exact complaint from multiple users multiple times, responding passive aggressively or changing your description to effectively tell users to "get over it" is just going to make them leave a bad review and quit.

I think you can refocus and steer this into a decent game, but I would strongly reconsider your current course.

developer response: That would basically be impossible now. The game was posted on v0.2.5.3, three updates since the game moved to GitHub, fourteen major updates since the game moved to Replit, and 23 major updates since the game began development.

why the sudden timewall in 3 dimensions?

developer response: Sometimes better sorting out your upgrades is the better move...

why here 1+ hour timewall from 5 to 6 dimensions?

developer response: Sometimes you make a softcap overly powerful. Sometimes you want that, other times you don't.
